Training Opportunities Database, TROP

TROP (Training Opportunities Database) is a database of selected training opportunities relevant to the conservation and use of plant genetic resources offered by institutions worldwide.

This is part of IPGRI's project on global capacity-building and institutional support which aims to help countries to build effective national plant genetic resources conservation and use programmes.

The training opportunities consist of short courses, degree programmes and workshops directed to national programme staff, researchers, decision-makers and university students.

TROP gives brief details on the location, organizers and dates of the training and refers the searcher to the Web site of the organizer for full content information. The course content covers a range of topics in the agricultural and biological sciences relevant to plant genetic resources conservation and use.
