Hungary

The lead institute responsible for the implementation of the global in situ (on-farm) conservation project in Hungary is the Institute of Agrobotany. The in situ project in Hungary will link with the ongoing national project to reintroduce local varieties into farming systems.  The project will quantify the effects of this restoration of agrobiodiversity on genetic diversity, agro-ecosystem functions, and economic development.
