The project in Ethiopia focuses on the
stability over time of factors supporting the maintenance of sorghum
(Sorghum bicolor) diversity on farm. It is built on an
earlier project in the regions of North Shewa and South Welo.
The research will return to 300 farmers' fields that were sampled in
an earlier study by Awegechew Teshome using the same sampling methods. The
Biodiversity Institute and the Biology Department of the Addis Ababa
University will participate in the research project.
