The IPGRI-APO library
is located on the ground floor of the Regional Office in Serdang,
Malaysia. It caters to the needs of IPGRI staff as well as to external
users. The library is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
The following resources are available from library:
Books and journals
Over
760 books related to Plant Genetic Resources (PGR) work are available on
the bookshelves.
In addition to IPGRI
Publications, Journals and Newsletters are also received from
collaborators. Reprints of some journal articles on PGR conservation and
use and related fields (about 3500) are available for use only in the

management in ecosystems (CIFOR), Safeguarding and preservation of the
biodiversity of rice genepool (IRRI) the
CIRAD (1999) are some of the CDs available here.
Audio-visual
equipment
A VCR, TV, slide projector, overhead projector and two computers are
available to library users.
Training
opportunities
A list of training courses mainly on Plant Genetic Resources related fields
is available on request.
